Yes Energy’s industry-leading electric power trading analytics software provides real-time visibility the market.  Recent announcements by the Exchange position us to continue to provide accurate insights into the dynamic and exciting Japan power market. Our unique and innovative view of the data informs real-time trading decisions and mid-to-long-term investment decisions that keep utility prices low, support the energy transition, and keep the grid running. It’s both challenging work and work with a purpose. Now, we are expanding our international presence in global markets, including Asia Pacific and Japan, and building our organization to meet the demand by deregulated and developing power markets.

 

 

Position Summary

We seek to fill a full-time Country Manager Executive position at our Shimbashi, Tokyo location.  These ideal applicant should have a strong background in the energy industry and a network and relationships that can be leveraged allowing Yes Energy to highlight our proven track record of providing energy organizations with a competitive advantage in the Japanese power market. Working closely with the (Technical Sales Executive) you will drive revenue growth by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.

 

Primary Details

  • Salary Range: 10,000,000 – 12,000,000 YEN
  •  Bonus (on target >4,000,000)
  • Full-Time, Hybrid
  • Office Location: Shimbashi, Tokyo (Candidate must reside in Japan)
  • Reports to: Business Development Director, APAC

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue targets within the energy markets.
  • Working with the TAE you will introduce them to contacts from your networking, prospecting and other lead generation activities.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within organizations participating in the Japanese power market.
  • Understand client needs and requirements and demonstrate and communicate how our energy solutions to meet their objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure successful project implementation and client satisfaction.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and presentations to clients, articulating the value proposition of our products and services.
  • Track and report sales activities, pipeline status, and results using CRM software.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Native Fluency in Japanese and Excellent strong English communication skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct, customer-facing experience in a B2B environment
    • Minimum of 3 years of sales-focused experience
    • Preference for 2 or more years of experience working in SaaS for Energy Markets, Financial or Commodities sector.
    • Preference for an understanding of deregulated energy markets and the evolving energy sector in Japan

  • Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects, and prioritize daily tasks while managing critical deadlines
  • Collaborate effectively within a team setting
  • Strong service and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous focus on documentation and adherence to processes
  • Travel ( up to ~50%) throughout the territory as needed
  • Advanced understanding of customer’s business, skilled at describing solutions and respectfully challenging their thinking
  • Ability to understand and discover complex client requirements and to clearly articulate the company’s offerings to develop solutions to meet those requirements
  • Knowledge/experience in using Salesforce
  • Strong desire and willingness to learn
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Continuously improve knowledge of company products and services.
