Senior Manager / Director, Strategy & Business Development

This is a senior strategic role in a global medical device company. You will lead important business and strategy projects that support growth in the Japanese market. The focus of the role is new product introduction, market expansion, and high-impact business initiatives.

You will work closely with local and global teams and play a key role in shaping business direction in Japan. This position has strong visibility, high autonomy, and real influence on how the business grows. Your work will directly support better access to healthcare products and better outcomes for patients.

About the role

• Lead and deliver strategy and business development projects that support growth in Japan

• Drive planning and execution for new product launches and market expansion initiatives

• Evaluate and introduce development-stage products into the Japanese market

• Own important cross-functional projects and make sure they move forward on time and with impact

• Support business planning, proposal development, and execution of strategic initiatives

• Build and use tools, frameworks, and processes to improve decision-making and project execution

• Work closely with global teams and local stakeholders to align strategy and priorities

• Act as a key partner to the business on high-impact, business-critical projects

• Help shape mid- to long-term business direction in the Japan market

Preferred profile

• Experience in strategy, business development, or commercial planning in healthcare, medical devices, or a related industry

• Strong understanding of product launches, market expansion, or new business development

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Comfortable working in English and Japanese in a business environment

• Able to work independently and manage multiple high-priority projects at the same time
