Market Entry President search
Titan was approached by a renowned orthopedic company based in California to conduct a search for the Country Manager of their new entity in Japan, based in Tokyo. We engaged with the client on multiple occasions during visits to Japan, where we provided insights into the local market and later even had the opportunity to tour their headquarters in the U.S. before finalizing the retained search agreement.
Titan presented a strong slate of candidates, each with relevant industry experience, excellent English proficiency, and proven leadership capabilities. After final selection, we then supported the client in crafting a competitive offer and successfully closing the hiring process.

Change President search
Through close partnership with APAC hiring managers and HR, Titan was retained to identify a new Japan President for a well-established European medical device company. Through several in-depth consultations with the hiring team, we focused on finding candidates with the right personality and leadership style to align with the company’s culture and values.
Although the client met with numerous candidates from the same industry and product category, they ultimately selected a leader from the life sciences sector, as this individual best matched their vision for the Japan operations. Titan facilitated the offer acceptance and onboarding process, and within a short period, the new hire has made a significant impact, successfully transforming the business.

Confidential Replacement GM search
Partnering closely with the APAC VP, Titan was entrusted with a confidential search to find a replacement General Manager for the Japan market.
Initially focusing on GM-level candidates from the medical device sector, the search was expanded to include senior strategy and sales leaders from the pharmaceutical industry. Titan successfully identified and placed a Senior Director from a major Japanese pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Throughout the process, 13 candidates were introduced, 8 were interviewed, and 2 emerged as finalists. The entire search was completed efficiently in just 2.5 months.
