One of the most recognizable and innovative medical device companies on the market is launching a new business and is looking for highly skilled candidate who will report directly to company General Manager. The Cardiac Sales Director plays a critical role in driving the identification and adoption of advanced cardiac procedures using innovative surgical technology. Partnering with marketing, commercial training, clinical affairs, and sales leadership, the director will develop a robust cardiac strategy to engage Key Opinion Leaders to pioneer and expand specialized surgical applications. This role involves building and leading a team of strategic sales professionals nationwide focused on supporting cardiac surgeons, enhancing their technical capabilities, and driving long-term organizational growth within the cardiac space.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a national strategy to drive the identification and adoption of advanced new procedures in cardiac surgery.

Build and lead a high-performing team of strategic sales professionals focused on surgeon development and clinical excellence.

Establish a scalable program framework to create durable cardiac surgical programs within healthcare institutions.

Educate and train Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and surgical teams on system operations, safety, and specialized clinical applications.

Provide dedicated on-site case support and guidance to ensure seamless technology integration at existing customer sites.

Partner with regional sales management to transition customers toward clinical independence within established timelines.

Create standardized training pathways and Centers of Excellence to foster long-term procedure growth and professional education.

Identify and convert high-potential leads while providing feedback to corporate teams on competitive activity and market trends.

Align on reimbursement strategies and pricing models tailored to meet specific customer and market needs.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a science or business discipline.

+8 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years of sales management with P&L management experience.

Extensive background in healthcare or capital equipment sales with a proven track record of achievement.

Strong clinical selling skills with the ability to build immediate credibility with a highly educated customer base.

Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and influence cross-functional teams in a complex market environment.

Exceptional interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.

Ability to travel up to 60% to support account distribution and team development.

Prior clinical experience in the cardiac specialty is highly preferred.
